The Shanghai Port, one of the busiest ports in China, has recorded its highest container volume for the year ending in December, according to the port's management.
The total volume of containers handled by the port during the fiscal year ended December 2018 was 44.5 million TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units), marking a 16% increase from the previous year.
This is a testament to the port's continued growth and development, as well as the increasing demand for goods and services from China's growing economy.
According to the port's management, the increased volume can be attributed to several factors,Bundesliga Vision including improved infrastructure, efficient operations, and the expansion of the port's facilities.
In addition to the record-breaking volume, the port also reported an increase in the number of container ships passing through its gates, with more than 300 vessels visiting the port last year.
The port's management is optimistic about the future, predicting that it will continue to see growth in both volume and efficiency, driven by the increasing demand for goods and services from China's growing economy.
